I am currently embarking on a journey to grow into a smaller, fit individual. I have taken the first step and joined a local gym and started a routine of attending classes on a regular basis. This was a big commitment financially but not so much physically. I am naturally athletic due to my father’s genetics and my own background in sports, most notably cheerleading (yes, it is a sport). The next step of my journey is to make serious adjustments to my eating patterns. I plan to begin this with a Personal Challenge: No Fast Food, Sweets, or Alcohol for 40 days. January 9, 2012 to February 18, 2012. I am doing all of this in an attempt to lose a total of 40 lbs. I will keep myself accountable with weekly check-ins on my progress. I will also attempt to post updates of my weight loss. Wish me luck!!!
